We typically supervise 2-5 honour’s theses and 1-2 research projects per year. We welcome students in health science-related programs (e.g., Kinesiology, Life Sciences, Health Sciences, Biology, Art & Science). Students with experience in epidemiological methods and statistical programming (i.e., R, SAS, SPSS, Python) are highly encouraged.

Interviews for the 2026/27 school year will take place in March 2026. Interested students should send an their unofficial transcript, resume, and brief description of their research interests to barica1@mcmaster.ca.

We welcome students with degrees in health science-related fields to pursue graduate studies in our lab. We welcome students with degrees in health science–related fields to join our lab for graduate studies. Ideal candidates will have a strong foundation in statistical and epidemiological methods, including relevant coursework or research experience.
