Opportunities
-
We typically supervise 2-5 honour’s theses and 1-2 research projects per year. We welcome students in health science-related programs (e.g., Kinesiology, Life Sciences, Health Sciences, Biology, Art & Science). Students with experience in epidemiological methods and statistical programming (i.e., R, SAS, SPSS, Python) are highly encouraged to reach out.
Interviews for the 2026/27 school year will take place in February 2026, but we welcome students to reach out throughout the schoolyear. Interested students should send their unofficial transcript, resume, and brief description of their research interests to barica1@mcmaster.ca.

We welcome students with degrees in health science–related fields to join our lab for graduate studies. Ideal candidates will have a strong foundation in statistical and epidemiological methods, including relevant coursework or research experience. Interest candidates should reach out to barica1@mcmaster.ca.
Graduate students are entitled to McMaster University scholarships and awards, however, they are encouraged to apply for external support. Please find more information below.
